Girl Gamers And More Poetry

This is another two partish podcast with the first part being a nice long rant about girl gamers and gamers in general. I raise the most valid points that I respect the bejesus out of girl gamers, and that gaming is not gender specific, and as such it doesn't matter what gender you are when we get our game on. The second half is more poetry of course at the request, once again, of miss Nellievaughn. Though I have to say I'm not too pleased with how that went this time. I think I used up all my emotion in the rant. If you notice this is late, it is. I couldn't upload the podcast last night because the server kept dying (on the same day I had an internet upgrade AND paid my Podbean subscription, OH BOY) but it uploaded just fine this morning. Enjoy!

Or don't.

    1. Well the same applies to boys who can really play :) You kind of count as a gamer, but you yourself have said you aren't :P I can't remember what I was hitting. I really can't.

  3. I love hot gamers too haha, although I hate these girls who make a big deal out of being a girl gamer to grab attention and I do know a lot of stupid girls like that believe me.

    1. Those are the girl gamers I have a problem with. If you're like me, and you want to play games and have fun, and just be a gamer, then we can get on just fine :)

  4. William Shakespeare should have written a play about 2 gamers who fall in love, and then they both come to some tragic end because they are each members of rival gaming factions...or something like that.

    1. Well if you incorporate World Of Warcraft, then they can be from the Horde and Alliance, and then you've got a story right there. If I could write WoW fanfiction, or a love story, I'd give it a shot.

  6. I loved it when you mocked the girl gamers who think they're rare!! Very funny stuff!!

Also I agree with you about Shakesphere and Romeo and Juliet!!

    (I hope you don't die!)

And why haven't you been replying to comments recently? Have you been busy?

    1. Well I did try for a girly voice at first, but it just sounded American in the end. I'm still alive. I've not even been that busy, I've just not been feeling like talking to anyone, even if it's just a comment reply.

  7. No worries, I enjoyed it. ^.^

While I don't really consider myself a gamer girl (the last gaming console I owned was a PS2, and it got damaged), I do enjoy enjoy playing video games. It really should just be for enjoyment overall, not about belittling people. Imagine if gamers started to belittle senior citizens... o_O

I totally had to lol when you did the bit about the intro music (here, and here, and here...)!

Also: Sorry that I've been AWOL from you blog, Mark. I'm gonna try to keep up with it more consistently.

    1. Hey I think specifically mentioned the seniors! THERE REALLY ARE GAMERS WHO BITCH ABOUT CASUAL GAMES BEING MADE FOR THE ELDERLY.

I've began to think of some things to do for introductions and such, but more details at a later date :)

I've missed you Barb if I do say so. It'll be nice to see you around more :)

  10. Apparently the rates of female gamers is like 50%. Though I don't blame the majority for trying to keep their gender hidden. :P

  11. Mark, never do your "girl" voice again. Please.

  12. None of my female friends play video games. As a matter of fact, they absolutely hate them. Some have played one or two. Usually platformers. I will tell you that my experience as a female gamer has not been pleasant. Every day, I deal with "Suck my dick" or "how big are your tits" or "give me your number" or... you get the point. Sometimes it's easy to ignore because I am there to play. However, I play with my brother often, and it makes me feel uncomfortable to have him listen to that crap. One night, we had to block and submit complaints for five different men. He finally got so upset for me, he actually told one of them to fuck off. My brother never uses profanity. Never.

Oh my god! Are you going to do Walt Whitman? You are! My heart just skipped a beat. And I got Shakespeare, too? If you were my neighbor, I would drop by your house every evening just so I could have you read for me.
