A True Ramblingcast

Hey it's Thursday so it's time for another podcast. This one got a bit weird. I'm putting that down to me being tired and recording it at midnight because I realized I hadn't actually recorded one yet. I'll give a bit of a rundown as best as I can, because I can't remember some of it.

-I started off by saying that I'm not really in a very good, which I wasn't at the time. I was feeling like crap, emotionally and physically.
-I explained that this isn't the KB interview I teased last week because I haven't updated my podbean account yet and so that should be either next week, the week after, or the week after. SOON.
-I also explained that even though I have three people (four if you count Madeline) to do collab podcasts with I haven't done any of them yet. I feel this sucks.
-I eventually somehow got into the point of the podcast. To talk about some of my favourite posts. The favourite posts of mine I've done are the ones where I post poems and stories, they seem to show I have some form of confidence. I also liked the post where I basically wrote what happened in my head over a five minute period. It made me open up and opened me up to doing personal posts.
-After that it just gets weird. Not as weird as I can be though I guess. Maybe some other time

It's here if it's not working: http://ramblingperson.podbean.com/2012/04/26/stuffy-stuff/

  1. Thanks for the recap Mark. It definitely sounds like quite the interesting podcast, I'll make sure to listen to it in depth later buddy.

  2. Not only do I expect quality from you, I rely on it! You always give me some of the best and most thought out feedback... it's something I look forward to finding whenever I post.

A joint podcast with another blogger would be fun - and it will be great to listen to whenever you guys can make it work. Of course, with everyone being in different time zones it must be hard to coordinate.

Anyway, today's podcast was great - and yes, your yawning was cute... lol

    1. See this is the downside of being good. People expect you to stay good. Bah. But thank you :)The time zones do suck. Fang and me has the best chance of succeeding due to time zones, he's only one hour ahead. I don't really know that many bloggers in the UK, and I think none in England itself. I knew one but he stopped. We've discussed the yawning on Twitter :P

  3. I must admit you and Bersecules having a podcast session would be worth a listen and I totally agree about Japanese as a language to learn along with Spanish and Chinese if I was limited to three!

    1. If you knew Spanish though you pretty much know Italian too. I think it's Spanish and Italian that are pretty similar anyway. Me and Bersercules teaming up has quite some potential. I hope we live up to it.

    2. Hm. I found that my knowledge of Spanish was pretty worthless when I visited Italy; English saved my ass instead. :P

And you should totally have your own kids so you can vicariously live through their lives of being pulled out of school early.

    3. Well there are words that are similar, I'm sure it's Italian and Spanish anyway. If I had kids I'd probably just consider home schooling them. I'll be a rich psychologist so I can easily afford a tutor for them.

  8. I am not in the habit of leaving demanding comments.. but yes indeed, I demand quality from you, each and every day. And, by gosh by golly, I usually get it too. But, I must say, you are kind of becoming the Adam Sandler of the blogging circuit. I mean, you openly admit you are not even trying to put out "quality", but still your fans flock in droves. I point that out as a compliment (to you, not to Adam Sandler. That dude, needs to step up his game.) Also, the threesome with Nellie Vaughn, and Madeline, will surely be entertaining. It would be better though if Bersercules joined in. (I am not too personally familiar with the other people you mentioned doing p-casts with,...sorry.) A couple of other things...I couldn't make out what your favorite blog post was. I went back and listened about 3 times, but you kept yawning, so I missed it. And I appreciate the apology at the end of the podcast. Yes, I listened to the whole thing, in case you snuck something blockbuster in at the end, like who shot JFK, or Captain Avenger's true identity. Oh...well...believe it or not I have more to say, but I really should shut up now. Buh bye.

    1. Oh I am trying to put out quality. I do my best to make something I like. Which is why I can have trouble posting sometimes. I hold myself to a standard and this does cause me to think "I can't write about that, it wouldn't be any good." I don't think a four way conversation would work very well. I've tried that on IM and in emails and I have to say at times it's not gone too successfully (sorry Fang, Levy, and Sophia. <3 you all). I'm sorry the yawn got in the way. I tried to repeat things that may have been lost. I said what my favourite posts were in the recap though :)I'm afraid I don't know who shot JR or Captain Avengers true identity, but if I think of random tidbits to mention I may consider doing it.

    2. I thought you were saying something about one singular post being your supreme favorite...maybe I'm wrong. It's all too much information for my brain to absorb at once. WE'RE ALL UNDER TOO MUCH PRESSURE!!!!

    3. I said that there was no one post that was my supreme ultimate favourite. Sorry about the really delayed reply.

  9. I expect quality from you! Nay I demand it!!

Yeah I agree its important to not list all your favourite bloggers cause you might miss someone... like me... OH no wait! You mentioned me! Yay!!!

I think it sucks that if you comment just to show that you were there (which is awesome) people will think your just a spam poster!

Latin and Esperanto is what I would learn!

I'm gonna sign up for Skpye today! And then we'll make a podcast!! Soon!! But we'll have to figure out the time difference and then a time to actually make the thing!

Dualing Bloggers! Bersercules the Berserk Herc and Mark the Rambling Person!

    1. I'm only one man. I can't be awesome all the time. As much as I might claim to be.

I had to mention you. If I had produced a full list it could have taken a while. It's the main reason I don't pass awards on, I just can't pick.

Well we're talking about that a little in emails but there should be five hours difference between us. I'm free most hours of most days though, especially weekends.

    2. Theres way more then five hours between us! I'm on the west coast of the american contenent! Five hours away whould mean your of the coast of the atlantic mounting an attack at the usa!

I think we're more like nine hours, I'll have to look.

I came up with a formula for us random, ramblers, and random ramblers.
Get a phone with a good camera and keep it with you at all times.
Pictures + Background Info = Original Read
bc people on theinternet have a short enough attention spam as it it is, the ppl on the internet need pictures. I mean even reading this comment did you realize I said it twice in a row?
:) have a good one Mark

  11. Silent speak does make your voice sound awesome. Your sister had your dream, that was also my dream.

I'm willing to do a skype/interview/conversation on friday or saturday or whenever you'd like. I will download it, and have never used it. That's never stopped me before.

This is the first time I've heard a wierd audio scuffle in one of your casts. It was right after saying "Fang".

Saying that the future is getting weaker every day makes me think your tiredness was mixing with your moroseness, and just coming out as language.

I forgive your yawns. Those are only cute if the yawner claps their feet the whole time they yawn.

I also enjoy the LRD. I also understand the shout-out means you're leaving some out. But we all understand and know deep down how you feel.

Spammish is another language I'd like to learn and speak. Even if we'd have to create it.

I'm currently in French and Cantonese. Latin would seem a bit easy, for there are so many roots of current words in Latin.

2nd apology is accepted as well. Goodbye.

    1. As different as my voice can sound IRL for some reason it doesn't seem to pick up on the microphone. Oh well.

It would be cool indeed. I'm free pretty much every night which would be an afternoon for you.

If you heard something odd it was quite possibly just something brushing the microphone. May have been a cat, or I could have been brushing it by brushing my nose.

My future really does seem to be getting bleaker every day. It has occasional pick ups but for the most part seems to just be a clusterfuck mixed with an ass-whooping.

The day someone knows deep down how I feel is the day I'm pleasantly surprised at allowing myself to open up like that.

Having our own creation could be cool. Especially a language.

Cantonese would be nice too but I've already failed to speak French. Latin sounds sometimes like it wouldn't be so hard to speak but understanding may be a different thing. Sometimes if I hear a foreign word I can guess what it means, and I'm right more than I'm wrong, but I can't speak another language that easy.

Bye bye. Thank you for accepting the apologies.

  13. Your yawning made me yawn.
Madeline and I are on the same boat. We have completely run out of space, but I plan on upgrading my account soon. I was unaware Madeline did not add you.
Ah! You said something in Spanish. I love that. I absolutely love when white males speak Spanish. I don't even know what 'cojones' mean, but I used to confuse it with 'cajones' which means drawers.
I am blushing. I am not even kidding here. My cheeks are burning. I don't take compliments very well. You are the sweetest man ever.
Japanese is a very hard language to learn. I've been trying to learn German for a decade. I can ask you how your day was, and then go on to demand water. It's pathetic.
That song you were singing at the end, I Googled it and...is it from South Park?

    1. Well I have upgraded my account now so if you want I can host whatever we birth. Madeline hasn't added me, at least not in a way I've noticed and I noticed you had added me. I could always add her if it comes to it.
After you told me that I had to double check because I always thought cojones was spelled cajones, and that it was just a slang term but they are apparently two separate words. Cojones means balls. Whether or not it specifically means testicles I don't know.
You made me have a bit of a listen back to see what I said. I didn't catch just what it was that caused that reaction in you but oh well, I'll take it. I don't think I'm the sweetest ever but I'm probably up there.
I took German for a year and all I can really remember is how to count to twelve, the word lesbian, a few curse words, and how to tell people to "Eat my shit". Now if I learn "and die" I have a full insult. I also know the word for pencil. My teacher taught it to me saying if you say it angrily enough it sounds like a curse word, and it really does. Just learn "I'm thirsty" and you're kind of set. You can say to someone "How was your day? Mmmhmm. Well, I'm kind of thirsty, can you get me some water?" That's almost a conversation. Right?
The song is from the South Park movie and it's part of the song Saddam sings to Satan to convince him that he's changed. Everyone just remembers the I'm So Ronery song from Team America, the South Park movie had an awesome soundtrack too.
