Thinking Big

No music for you today, instead I wanted to share this video that Anonymous posted on one of their Twitter accounts. Don't worry it's not in the slightest bit activism. They are more than just activists. Anyway, it's a video to really make you think about society, and what is stopping us, and just what we can eventually become. I found it really interesting and hope you do too. Enjoy.

  6. My inner nerd is jumping for joy right now! I'm staggered that no one seems to know that his is Dr. Michio Kaku, one of the greatest physicists of our time. This man can explain advanced string theory so that the laymen can understand it. I love him! The vid bogged down when he got began talking about the EU (Youtube must be busy). I'll go to Youtube later and watch it from my channel. I've stuck it in my favorites. Nice post Mark!

    1. Thanks. I actually didn't know who he is, but I'm with Henry, he says some amazing things and I should probably learn more.

  7. Oh dear!! It's a bit western-centric isn't it? There are civizations deep in the Amazon who want to be left alone, thank you. LOL! And I find it scary enough that people are trying to control nature and wiping out many other species in the process! Don't we get energy from living things too like wind and the sun? And EU at the moment is under threat of breaking up with the gloomy economic situation. Just my humble silly not very intelligent reaction to this clip, btw, so please don't beat me! LOL!

But very interesting - he's totally thought this type 1-3 civilization thing.

    Take care

    1. lol the adverts are my doing don't worry. I don't think we should be wiping out species though. We get energy from the sun and wind but either it's not enough, or we're very bad at it.

  8. p.s. I'm very sorry, but some of my words have turned green and linking up to adverts - I didn't do that - I don't know why it's done that! yikes!

  11. Dr. Kaku's Parallel Worlds is a great read, although I do prefer NdGT's writing a little more

  18. Interesting video. Have read about our progress to a rapidly shrinking, more collaborative world with internet being the major driver. This perspective takes it one step further. Nice.
