In Which I Stalk You

So I was lurking around the blogosphere last week, as I do. I really do, I follow a lot of blogs you know, hard work. Anyway, I ran into Fangs last post of 2011, in which he did the good old fashioned "What went down this year gais" post. I'm going to quote it now and some comments made on his blog. Because I can, and because it made me cry manly tears.*

*No tears were actually shed, but I felt happy inside.

"A lot of you said that discovering the Blogosphere was a real highlight. Two of you specifically mentionedMark's blog. I honestly couldn't agree less. Blogging is a really great tool for venting, sharing cool new things, or helping others accomplish something by posting a small guide of sorts. Hell, just talking about your personal life feels pretty good, too (though I'll leave the details in my head, mind you). Mark is a really cool guy, who got into blogging not too long ago. (June this year, was it?) He's got some self-esteem issues, and he really should lighten up sometimes, but hey, he's getting there! Show him some love, everyone! It's Christmas!"

Leaving the blogosphere? Why would someone ever want to do that for?

  1. I come for the depressing but I can stand a little happiness I suppose.....

  2. @The Angry Lurker One can only be depressing so much before it becomes, well, depressing.

  3. Awwww :D made me all happy, listening to Berlin while reading this just seems oh so wrong.

  4. @Jessie There's something fundamentally wrong about that.

  5. Aww it's always nice going to other blogs and seeing that they've said something nice about ya!

  6. What'd ya know? Happiness actually makes for a nice change (albeit for a short time before you start to get annoyed by how happy you are and go back into sulking.)

This is why blogging is awesome. Congrats! :)

  7. Heehee, feels good to make you feel good man. :D

  8. @Hazel It is but I actually rarely do it. I wouldn't have looked if Fang didn't point it out.

@Sadhanna I hate being happy almost as much as I hate happiness itself, but no I can actually be a reasonably happy person. I don't mind it too much. Thanks.

@Fang It feels good to be made to feel good by you.

  11. This is my 3rd attempt at blogging and this time it worked. It's nice to have followers who actually read what I'm writing and then comment. Very nice things written about you.
    Cheers to more posting!

  12. @Copyboy Thank you, and yes it was very sweet of them.

@Michael I'm glad it's going well for you. This is my first attempt and things seem to be going quite well, which is always good.

  13. There's nothing wrong with man tears, unless they're shed as a result of watching the Notebook. Your blog has come a long way and you've really gotten in the swing of things. It can only keep going up from here, and I'm proud to be a fan. You should do giveaways, but be warned, if you ask us for storylines... well, be careful what you wish for.

  14. Okay I have to refollow you. your posts just don't show up :/ And aww it's nice to see people say nice things about ya :)

  15. @ABFTS Nah I've already heard some crazy ideas *coughBerserculescough*. Thanks though. I think I am getting into the swing of things now, it only took, what, six months? lol.

@Normal.is.overrated Cheers for the refollow then lol. It shows you actually care.

  16. I agree with Fang. I think you have self-esteem issues. You're a cool guy and (obviously) a good blogger so be happy :D

  17. So no lock of hair? Darn.

But Yes! Do a give a way!

If you want a picture just ask. I love to draw as I watch TV and I could always use a break from drawing naked ladies! (which is what I usually draw)

I never saw that comment of R.gers! Thanks R.gers! Where was that posted?

Oh and since Hazel commented about about liking to go to blogs and seeing that they said something nice about ya, here goes: I think Hazels blog is amazing! I love how she blogs about such a variaty of things! Its always a treat to read her blog! (no one tell her I said that. Lets just leave it here and see if she ever sees it.)

  18. @TayTay Easier said than done :P But thank you. I don't think it's any secret I have self esteem issues.

@Bersercules There may be a lock of hair, I'm up to four people that want one. R.gers comment was on the same post that I got yours from. The pictures I want are ones I'm not sure I actually want. No naked ladies though. Even if I was that desperate for porn there's just something creepy about asking someone you know to do it for you. I don't know if Hazel subscribes to comments, it would be great if she does.

  19. Congratulations on gaining quite the audience! I've noticed that many blogs have been popping up within the last few years. I think people are looking for more stories and thought out content than what most social networking sites have to offer. There is still something about blogging that feels a bit more personable.

  20. @Mark I don't subscribe to comments. I just come back and check every so often.

  21. @Scrappy Thanks. There is a very personal touch to blogger that you just don't get with Facebook and especially not with Twitter. That's true. I first started a blog just because I wanted to say something that was too long to say on Facebook ^^

@Bersercules Well I'm lonely and barely get emails so I subscribe so I get emails.

  22. what a greaaat post love your blog =) follow

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Mark How does subscribing to them work? can you do that at any blog? or just one that alows it?

    ReplyDelete
  24. You can do it to any blog, there's a little link under the comment box that says "Subscribe by email" that subscribes you to the comments. If there's a comment window though then just tick the box that says subscribe. The only downside is you have to make a comment to subscribe so if you forget to do so you have to either make another comment, or just check back.

  25. Nothing wrong with manly tears, unless you're watching Twilight.

  26. Feel the love, man. Feel the love.

  27. @My 2 Pesos There are a few situations where manly tears are not acceptable, that is one of them.

    @Charlotte Thank you ^^

    @Interwebs Fails sure is

    @Henry I do. I really do.

  28. Your blog is better than mine.

Yeah, I'll kill you with kindness.

  29. @Kbbuddingwriter Let's not go that far, but I think I would welcome being killed by kindness.

  30. Aren't you proud of yourself. :P Maybe if I posted everyday I could get those honors but I just don't have the time.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh that's really nice. to get compliment like that from fellow blogger. I love your blog I don't comment often though but enjoyed every moment I spent here.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @DWei I don't think it had anything to do with posting everyday, but I really love your blog too. If you don't have the time you don't have the time. Not much you can do about it.

@Mayen Thank you very much ^^

  33. Be proud of yourself, Mark! You're a nice guy, i guess!

  34. a story giveaway sounds kinda like mad libs. If I win I'll be sure to make you write the weirdest stuff I can imagine.

  35. "Blogging is a really great tool for venting, sharing cool new things, or helping others accomplish something by posting a small guide of sorts. Hell, just talking about your personal life feels pretty good, too"

This is a good definition of what I understand blogging to be.

  36. I think a story giveaway is a good idea.

    ReplyDelete
  37. And don't forget the lock of hair!

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Marco I guess I must be ^^

@Shaw Please do lol. I'll enjoy that.

@T. Roger Thomas It really is like that, and more.

@Heaven Thanks, I think it would be too. I'll consider the hair but don't hold your breath.
