From The Comments

In response to my deep ass post on Thursday, which was then corrected by boobs on Friday, which then never happened and was replaced by RAGE, My 2 Pesos left a comment with this song in it. I thought I would share that song with you all. I think it does fit the style of that post. If I didn't dislike it when people put music into the code of their page so you couldn't turn it off, I would probably weave this song into that post. Anyway, I would say enjoy, but it's as black and bleak as ten minutes with me and a six pack.

For some reason Youtube insist on making embedded videos 800 and something whatever wide, and I have to change the code myself so a huge video player doesn't take up the screen.

Oh well.

As a bonus feature, in respect of all the SOPA and PIPA stuff that's gone down this week, I present to you Mahalyc33's message to Anonymous, those fancy bastards protecting our internet. They deserve all the support they can get, and everyone is important in the fight, from the people on the front lines with their cannons, to the people who make videos like this, and even the people who simply retweet and spread the message.

SOPA and PIPA may be gone, but ACTA is still here, and it is worse than both of them, and must be stopped. I told you it would be back under a different name. That name, is ACTA.

EDIT: Fixed a typo and corrected a mistake.

  1. SOPA..PIPA..ACTA.. it's all too confusing why don't we name the whole thing Josephine and be done with it? :D

My messages aren't going through to you on bbm for some strange reason.

I know what you look like :D hahahahaha I feel so boss now 'cause no one else on blogger really does.

    1. There are different ones so we can't name the whole thing Josephine. Though maybe one day Josephine can be slang for internet censorship. Bersercules knows what I look like actually. For our interview he insisted I send an actual video because he doesn't like working with just sound clips.

    2. I know what he looks like too. Stalker five!

  2. That guy is wearing a Colts hat....he must know what he's talking about. I'm still confused with all this SOPA crap, but I will take the advice of a fellow Colts fan and say fuck SOPA!

    1. lol Well SOPA is shelved, so it doesn't matter too much you never really knew about it.

  3. It made it to the news here. Delaying the decision is a positive thing, but still worrisome. I need to go read up on ACTA now.

    1. It is good it's delayed, but I really do see it coming back. ACTA is basically SOPA on a global level. It's an entire treaty signed by several countries.

  4. I'm going to go read up on ACTA now. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I feel a political post coming for me very soon....like later today kind of soon. *sigh*

  5. (part of) the Dutch government is against ACTA, they have already stated that a while back. I'm slowly regaining trust in my government.

  6. sopa/pia (are they the same thing?) will forever confuse me. Like I get the basics of it but yet I'm left with a confused mind. I'll listen to the song later :)

    1. SOPA and PIPA are pretty similar. The main point is internet censorship and how much it shouldn't be done.

  8. I've just read your Thursday post as I was most intrigued. Being so new to your blog, I don't know the background but I'm glad you used your blog to articulate your feelings - nothing worse than not having an outlet to do so.

    Take care

    1. Thank you :) don't worry you haven't missed much, I've never really gone into the background about that before anyway.

  12. I never heard of ACTA. But SOPA and PIPA, yes. I agree, we all need to give Anon a lot of support :)

  13. One part of me thinks that there are enough highly intelligent super geeks out there that no matter what they do someone will find a way around it...but then the other part of me worries that some dumb ass will get into power and spoil the ride.

  14. I really like the song and dislike ACTA. I will formulate a mixed post involving it. If this storm that threatens my area does not produce a tornado or take my power out, it should be up sometime soon.

  19. I'm glad you keep posting these. People will get complacent and think that since SOPA is gone that the battle has been won. It hasn't been. I'm behind the people of anonymous, but also fear for their well-being. The governments of the world are very well-equipped and are quite capable of making a person "disappear" (I grew up in the Cold War). Please keep posting these updates.

    1. Taking out Anonymous by taking out one person is like trying to put out a forest fire with a cup of water. I loved reading that. I don't think internet censorship will ever not be a problem, and I hope to do what I can for as long as I can. Like I've said I'm far from a political activist, I'm not even a hacktivist. I have no real need to worry about disappearing any time soon. Though like I've also said becoming a martyr for free speech is an epic way to go.

    2. I agree Mark. Anonymous could only be stopped if the internet was taken down.

    3. Now now, let's not give these people ideas.
