Tell You About Myself?

This is, once again, an...award post! I got an award from Jodie-Ann from http://musingsbyjodie.blogspot.com.
I'm sad that there isn't a "bee" pun
I don't mind getting all these awards, it means I don't have to work so hard to come up with posts. I can just write award posts. Yayyyyyyyyyy. Don't read that as sarcastically as I did, I am glad to get more awards, and I am glad to not have to try so hard. Hey I'm tired leave me be.

So this one calls for another seven things about me. I can't remember what I've already said so you'll have to forgive me if I'm repeating myself.

1. I love Doctor Who. I'm currently re-re-watching it. I'm talking about the newer series' that is. I have recently found all the original episodes online. If I find the time and the stars are right, I might try to watch it.

2. I'm still waiting for my driving license. I applied for it a while ago, and after a few weeks they sent me two letters. One saying I didn't fill the form out right, and I had to fill in the questions I didn't. I also had to go to one of their opticians, because it doesn't matter I went to my own the day before I applied. Ah well. My stepdad says it can take like six weeks to process, so I'm just going to have to keep waiting I guess. Hopefully they will send me a letter even if they decide I can't have one even after two opticians say I can see more than good enough to drive.

3. My iTunes music collection is 13.87gb big. This is STILL NOT ENOUGH. NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH.

4. It still pains me that the 90's were 20 years ago. Damn I miss the 90's.

5. I haven't written anything in my book in so long it is becoming painful -_- It's doubly annoying because the action is picking up, it's stuff that I shouldn't be able to stop writing. Some would probably say that writing this blog is one thing that stops me writing my fiction. Eh. It's possible I guess.

6. I cancelled my preorder of Skyrim. Don't worry I'll still end up playing it, but I don't really have any income (old news) and I had just enough to get my dad a Christmas present. I chose to get him that present. I am getting some money at the end of the month (yay) and most of it's going to go to him as well.

7. I still hold out hope for Shenmue 3. Most Sega fans know at least about the Shenmue series, about how fantastically amazingly awesomely spectacular awesome it is. But they never made 3 because Sega went, well, it went how it did, before then. All the fans want it, and one day, it will happen.

It will!

;_;

I'm also supposed to pass it on, but...should I do it? I'm too tired to think of people to pass it on.

  2. don't have to go back 20 years to get to the 90's!

  3. @Mai Yang yes but I'm running out of random information! Even non-random information.

@Lowfrequencies same here, it's one of the joys of the internet.

  4. What? 20 years? Oh my god. Another thing is what the hell is Shenmue? :P

I've heard of it of course but I've never got my hands on many early console games. (This coming from a PC gamer, are you surprised?)

  5. Congrats, I also like award posts to respond to as it's easy to congratulate....damn.

  6. @R.gers You don't know what Shenmue is? For shame, boy, for shame. Though actually I don't mind that much lol, just gives me a chance to spread some more love. It basically did everything before every other game could. It was, as far as I know, the creator of quick time events which are in a lot of games now, and it seemed very advanced for it's time, like all Sega games. Look at the Dreamcast, that had internet capabilities, something not seen in a console again for a few generations. It was just a really good game, with a really good sequel, and it needs a third instalment, the storyline was never finished. As much as I love Shenmue, I'm wary about playing it through again, because I don't want to hit that wall again.

@The Angry Lurker They're good for both blogger and reader :)

  7. Well congrats.
I love getting awards, to me it's a token of appreciation and it is great to know that someone likes your blog that much. But I rarely pass them on, otherwise, as someone said to me it's like a blog virus/chain letter. And if everyone has one they kinda lose their meaning.
Well actually I have passed them on, but the last time I actually did a post about it was because I had some newly followed blogs I wanted to share.

If I' m going to do so I prefer to make my own. And i tell people I don't want it linked back to me and I make it personal so only I can give it out, not to pass it on to others.
That way it's like giving a present....you don't give someone a gift then tell them they have to pass it on or be sure and tell everyone who gave it to them do you?

  11. Award posts are much like a post celebrating achieving a certain number of followers. It's just there to fill in the gaps until a meaningful post comes along!

  12. @Dirtycowgirl No you don't sound like a Scrooge. I agree with you that it just becomes like a chain letter, and I always refuse to pass them on. I pass them on if I have enough people that I want to say "Hey, follow these people too" about. Other than that I don't really like to do it.

@PeeVee I can think of a lot more music I want. A lot more.

@Indistinctive Writer lol but the two things were quite different. I suppose.

@Danjor21 I have some meaningful posts coming up, and some ideas for more, but it's just about working up the energy to write them.

  13. I never knew you had a stepfather. I remember about wanting to buy your dad a present though! Good luck with that!
And as for your novel some times its best to let things sit for a while, give your mind time to process its thoughts! Then come back to it re read it and start up on it again on a day where you have nothing to do! (thats what I do!)

  14. Congratulations! Another award! hehe.. I don't mind getting some blog tags/blog awards.. But I really appreciate those personalized blog awards more.. It only means the "award giver" really thought of you.. and it's very sweet. :)

Oh I also love the 90's.. Love the life, love the lusic. The 90's IS MY time. hehe..

  15. @Bersercules Shit that means there was 8 things, I broke the rules. If I have nothing to do I find myself just doing nothing lol. I've already got the present so as long as no money disappears from my bank account, that should be fine.

@Leah I would come up with my own award, but I'm not that creative lol. So I just have to pass on the ones other people gave me. The 90's were a pretty good time to be alive. As long as you were a kid without a care in the world anyway lol.

  16. I've watched Doctor Who up to episode 4 or 5 or what was it. Never got past that, too busy :C

  17. @Fang Awww well I forgive ya.

@JDC It can wait. To be honest I actually forgot it came out today anyway.

  18. I miss the 90s. :'( I wish I had a time machine.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @My 2 Pesos The 90's were a good time to be alive, but if you had a time machine you would still be just as old as you are now, it wouldn't be the same.

  20. I thought the 90's were just a myth create by hipsters. D:

    ReplyDelete
  21. I just picked up my copy of skyrim. Also, stop getting awards. You're making me look bad.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Interwebs Fails I'd be happier if hipsters were a myth created by the 90's.

@Generally Disgruntled I'll get my grubby hands on it eventually, but not right now. I'm not in control of getting awards, I am not to blame.

@Jodie-Ann I've been called many things, but cool is something I've only ever been called by Jessie, and I'm not sure if she's ever serious.

  23. I can totally relate with no.5, i'm in the EXACT same situation :/
Found you through Jodie-Ann's blog! :D

  25. *Doctor Who High Five

I'm doing the same at the moment. Eccleston was really great but Tennant, dear god. Haven't seen the episodes of Tennant. ONly watched series 5 and 6

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Reilly Originally I skipped the Eccleston episodes, then decided I might as well watch them after all. He's not bad, but he's just so different from David and Matt. I still think it was a huge shame for them to waste a regeneration like that though, the guy only has 13, and he has 2 left now. I think I might have less actually now. It was also kind of a cop out for River to lose all her regenerations, but I suppose it depends on how many she had left, and there's still a chance for her and The Doctor to bring back the Time Lords.

  27. Congrats! And I know a Let's Player on youtube, ScottishDuck who badly wants Shenmue 3 as well lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. @Hazel Thanks. Everyone wants Shenmue 3. It will happen.

    It will.

  29. I admire you strength of will on the matter of Skyrim. (-_-)7

  30. @Henry thanks but it's just a game (okay I never thought I would say those words). I didn't know if I would get any more money between now and the time I have to pay for the present, so I chose my dad.

    ReplyDelete
  31. hahaha awesome i love doctor who! :D

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Caroline It's great isn't it? :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ohh doctor who! It makes for glorious watching. I admit i haven't seen any of the older ones O_O i should probably stop masquerading myself as a fan until i have done so! cos whenever the old folks at work find out im a fan they try and discuss the older ones with me and i feel cruel informing them that i havent seen any!

You're writing a book?! That's so cool! what's it about if you don't mind me asking? Unless it's personal then ignore this O_O!

I like your more personal posts Mark! xx

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Tilly I think you can call yourself a fan without having seen any of the older ones. There are a LOT. I think the only people who can say they've seen all of them are the ones who watched them while they were growing up, and possibly myself at one point, and anyone else who's found them all and decided to watch them all, but I bet that number is actually pretty small.

I've talked about my book a bit before, it's a fiction piece set in what I guess you would call Norse mythology. There are some references to Norse God's, but I don't think any of them will actually make an appearance.

  35. Ohh i shall a snoop through your archives then O_O the book sounds interesting! xx
