Not A Round Up

I've decided to move the weekly round up from today (IE Saturday) to Monday. Monday is when most people tend to read this place, and yes, I'm stealing ideas from the Hasidic Plumber here. But Monday does just make sense. Rather than it being a weekly round up, it is a round up of the last week. So now if you miss a day, or two, or five, and want to catch up, merely keep an eye out for a post made on Monday, not Saturday. Plus the people who read every day are the kind of people who come here Saturday, a round up really doesn't serve much purpose if everyone who sees it is everyone who has seen all the posts for that week and as such doesn't need one.

I can't allow myself to have a post that's only one paragraph long and doesn't cause the box you type in to grow bigger, so enjoy reading this sentence.

  1. hmm...i've never heard that monday was a better traffic day. I'll have to plan something fun for this monday.

  2. But what if I have the tendency to miss seven days?

  3. It's true - Mondays to Wednesdays are the best times to post. Probably because everyone is half-suicidal at work and they resort to reading blogs.

  4. I try not to post on weekends....very slow as people are busy

  5. @A Lunatic Pope I don't know if there's much of a traffic increase but there are some people here on Monday that comment but don't comment many other days. I'm giving the people what they want, more me.

@Fang Then you look at old round up posts

@Lemons Don't Make Lemonade lol This is probably the case.

@Danjor21 I resort to lazy posts on the weekend, but I guess I'm going to have to find another way to be lazy on Saturdays.

  6. To be honest, it's not a bad idea. Perhaps I shall "borrow" it too.

  7. hmm..never thought of that.

    but we have time difference..

    so..

  8. I've noticed the same thing. Guess some people have a life at the weekends....friggin part time bloggers.

    Commitment is what we need.

  10. @R.gers A round up post itself is quite a good idea, the problem comes from timing it well really.

@Mai Yang If I stay up really late I get to be the first person who comments on one of your posts :P

@Dirtycowgirl I would say you don't update a lot, so you're a part time blogger, but you do awesome updates AND you read this place at least pretty much every day. If you aren't posting you are commenting, you're still full time, and awesome.

@Pieter Funny story. I was supposed to also include a picture of my eyes for Caroline, but for some reason it didn't work.

  11. Haha, I like your last sentence.

  12. That's probably a wise choice. Fridays and Saturdays are the days with least traffic for me (especially fridays) Mondays and Thursdays are probably the better.

  13. @Kathy S Thanks, natural wit is fun.

@Plumber Yeah that's what I got to thinking really. Saturday might be near the end of the week, and seem like a good time, but it really isn't. It's better to go for Mondays and do a "What happened last week" post.

  14. Huh. Honestly, I'm not going to rememeber this Monday factoid.

  15. @Henry Good, I'd hate for you to forget something useful because I told you something meaningless.

  16. That's a good choice. I have almost no traffic on weekends.

  17. @My 2 Pesos I still visit you so you have at least happy customer on weekends.

  18. I like the idea. I should do the same.

  19. @Intredasting Blog if you blog a lot or have a lot of long posts I recommend it as a good idea.

  22. great idea. I get behind in blogging sometimes (like this week for example) and this would make it totally smoother to catch up.

  23. @MRantrhope It can be a good idea yeah, and making it happen on a high traffic day just makes it a very good idea.

  24. I refuse to enjoy that last sentence :P

  25. A paragraph is generally at least three sentences minimum.

  26. @Shaw I refuse to enjoy your comment. Wait, shit already done that.

@Generally Disgruntled If I had wanted to I probably could have split the first post up a bit yeah, but I didn't think of that really, or that the second one wasn't really a paragraph.

  27. Sounds like a good idea! Makes more sense I suppose :)
