In Which I Ask For Simple Things

This post has the potential to be short, but I make no promises. Every time I've said a post will be short it's gone on, and on, and on, and on. I'm here today to ask for one very simple thing, it even requires very little effort on your part. Rather than give you a long list of blogs to follow (most of you guys already follow eachother anyway) I will just give you one blog that I would like you all to follow. I'd like you to check it out at least. That is the blog of my good blogging buddy Majin_Curse (the guy who goes by Poor_Leno on Twitter, he's the main person I talk to on there and have the most fun with). This is his blog http://sauceattack.blogspot.com/.

He doesn't post every day, but he does post very good quality things, and he does it well. It's easily worth a read. He wrote a post listing some of the excuses why he doesn't post all that much, and one of them was that he felt under appreciated. I appreciate the ass off of him, but I would like to see more people read his stuff. I think me and him have pretty similar blogging styles, it's probably one of the reasons we were able to hit it off.

Seriously, please check it out, it will be worth it. At least for me it was worth it. I'm not sure what kind of an influence I have, but I think I at least have enough to ask for this. Not quite enough to lead a revolution yet though. Or start a religion.

  5. Does he have that followers gadget thing? Don't see it anywhere.

  6. @Bob he uses a dynamic view so he has no gadgets. So to follow him you would have to use your blogger dashboard and then use the add button there. If I had thought of that I would have stuck it in the post.

  7. Mark: Oh, so that's how you do that. I remember, that there was one blog I wanted to follow but didn't know how. I don't know which one it was anymore though. :/

  8. Im going to check it out now, thanks for the heads up!

  9. Something wont let me check it out!

  10. @Bob it's happened to me a few times as well actually. At least once.

@Mike No problem, it is a pretty cool place.

@Bersercules Only the wizadry of Satan could do this.

  11. Checked it out. Slightly longer so will take a while.

Curious, in your opinion, what is his general direction of the blog? Might give me a better idea of which posts to start with.

  12. Off to visit that blog now. I can sort of relate to him though. Sometimes you don't feel motivated to post when you don't get as many comments or you lose a few followers.

  13. Congratulations. That was pretty short.

I dunno about feeling underappreciated. Blog for yourself first, fuck everyone else ahahahhaa.

  14. Nah, don't do that. But at the very least, don't be in this for an ego booster.

  15. Its a shame that dynamic view does that to your blog, I love the look of magazine but I don't want to lose my gadgets. anyway followed him, thanks for the referral

  16. Thanks so much for recommending it. It's a blog that I suspect will make me think about things, even simple things, on various levels ... which is, as far as I'm concerned, what it's all about :-) While I'm commenting, can I just say that your blog also falls into that category? So thanks for that, too :-)

  17. I know what you mean, it's so frustrating trying to keep posts short & sweet sometimes!!!
Mkay, I'll go check him out :D

  18. Well, following now. That dynamic-view-following-via-dashboard thing is a bit odd, but I look forward to reading his stuff.

  20. Real shame his computer is kaputt. Short posts is short, well done!

  21. @Jodie-Ann Thanks

@ipenka like I said it's quite like this place. I don't know if it has all that much direction, he's covered a wide variety of issues including the economy, his pets, and his favourite musical duo.

@DWei thanks :) I can relate too, but I started putting out more content in an attempt to get viewers, though not getting any did still depress me.

@Henry I know, it's amazing that I was able to do a short post. Sophia is a good excuse of someone blogging for herself, she went a few years with barely any readers lol. This is more about me wanting to share a good blog that I think deserves attention, than it is about him getting an ego boost. I think.

@Aamador Thanks for following him :) I like the looks of some of the dynamic views but I'm with you on the gadgets. Maybe they'll fix them up some time.

@KLo Thank you very much :) It's what I aim for usually, and it's nice to know that I occasionally hit my mark.

@Tracirz It can really be like that sometimes, thanks as well :)

@Lot's Wife Thanks :) It can be odd yeah, I've still never had to follow a blog like that.

@My 2 Pesos only if you have something people are willing to believe in, or the influence to become a God yourself. I don't have either, yet.

    @Interwebs Fail Especially for me.

@Shaw Everyone who owns a computer does lol. Although now that computers are everywhere even people that don't actually own one can be affected by them dying.

@R.gers It really is short. It is a shame his computer is kaput, and I hope he finds a way to keep going. He's still on Twitter so he should still blog, but it's far easier to use Twitter from a mobile device than it is to blog.

  22. I don't like the dynamic views much. I think they look a bit more like websites then blogs - which I guess appeals to some but my blog is..well..a blog, and I've spent far too long faffing around with the code to lose how it looks now.
I also want to know that if I want to change any part of it I can.
Until they let us do that I'm sticking with the template I've got.

  23. @Dirtycowgirl Same here really. I think the dynamic views still have a ways to go yet before they become something everyone can and will embrace.

  24. If he writes like you, I'm off to see his blog.

  25. @Major.Mack Thanks :)

@Cricketfreak I think he's more coherent than me, but it's nice to know someone likes how I write :)
