I wish I had £30

Yesterday I asked you to follow the blog http://sauceattack.blogspot.com/. In the comments of that post, Bob pointed out that he doesn't have a followers gadget, or a navbar to follow him with. In order to follow that blog you will have to use your blogger dashboard and use the add button there on your reading list (or bookmark the site and check back every so often). He told me he had got some extra exposure so a big thank you to all of you :) Also a big thank you to Bersercules who went through a fair bit of the seriously old stuff no one read. Cheers guvnor. (since it was decided by you guys I have a posh accent I've decided to try to use more gentleman-y terms)  Now I've got that out of the way, onto the real post for today.

I was at the market last Saturday, checking out the game stall. Sadly they didn't have Final Fantasy 10 (I really wish I knew where my copy of that had disappeared to). But they did have something else I've been looking for like a hawk lately, an Xbox 360 Network Adaptor preowned for £30. I was always taught it's only "an" before a word starting with a vowel but "a xbox" just sounds...wrong. Anyway, new Network adaptors are stupidly expensive, even the cheap non-official ones.

The annoying thing is I have no money, I don't have £30. Well, I do, but it's for my dad's Christmas present, and I've been holding onto that money for months. I'm not about to spend it. Plus I think the payment has now gone through and so I don't even have that anymore.

To my dad's credit he did actually offer to buy it for me this week, as he gets paid, but I told him it was alright, I'd rather he saved that money to buy me some driving lessons, if/when my license actually turns up. They've messed with me a lot, but after sending me to the opticians who should have sent them something saying I have perfect peripheral vision and I'm fine to drive, they should give me one at last. So, yes, I'd rather the money went to something more useful, and I know how expensive driving lessons can be. They were £20 a lesson for my brother, but there are places that will give you say, 10 lessons for £100. But if you don't finish in ten I guess it goes up.

It's probably best I don't really have a network adaptor anyway, I'd just be too tempted to get Xbox Live, and continue in my quest to become everything I hate. I've joined Twitter, I have a personal blog, the only thing left really is to get Xbox Live, buy a COD game, and swear at everyone.

Incase you're wondering why I have no money, this blog is my only source of income, and it's bad for it. I'm not on any welfare/benefits. I had a post about that, but I decided not to publish it because it makes me sound like a whiny, lazy little bitch.

At this point I'd like to jokingly draw your attention to the donations page. I'mma kidding, if I was to ask you guys to donate, it would be living costs, not for wants, and non-necessities.

How about that, if I actually go out and do things, I DO have more to talk about.

  1. On the "an Xbox" vs "a Xbox"–it's "an", because phonetically "Xbox" has a vowel at the front-E. Ex-box. It just isn't spelled phonetically, so therefore you are right. English actually has many more vowels than are written down, in fact, from memory it's about 6 written vowels, and 25 sounded vowels. =)

  2. You should really think about getting some benefits, at least then you'd have some money.

  3. @Experimental House Thank you very much for clearing that up :)

@Hazel I should but all the reasons I'm not on them just make me sound, like I said, a whiny or lazy person.

  4. You quite easily become everything you hate, now don't you? ;D

  5. Xbox 360 ain't too bad. Although I can't say much since I actually need to own a console, I still don't have one.

  6. Get yourself on them that's what they're for.

  7. gosh. I wanted a $50 too so I can buy one set of book (Game of Thrones) next week. haha

  8. I know the feel. I wish there was another way for me to get extra cash too. :(

  9. I don't even have the money to finish the paint of my mask!
But I have a ps3 so I don't need anything else to play. That's what I like about ps3. They don't really sell you overpriced accessories hence it's just accessories and will not really be required to buy just to enjoy the console. Anyway Ebay may be able to help you. if you don't have the money, Why not try and clean you whole house for £30. you can easily request when you did a good thing. :)

  10. Ahh crap! Experiment House beat me to the comment I was gonna make!

I know how you feal about the money thing. I have limited sources of cash as well!

  11. I had a friend who got into Xbox live. We don't see much of him anymore. :)

  12. @Fang I really do, it helps me be self loathing lol

R.gers I have...a lot but I mostly stick to my PC really.

@The Angry Lurker Mehhhhhhh. Maybe I should just make that post.

@Mai Yang Good luck with that :)

@DWei Maybe I should just let Jessie pimp me out like she wants.

@Dilord I could do, but it's my house too, it's like, why should I be rewarded for taking care of my own house? Plus I suck majorly at cleaning lol. The only games I have really to play online on the PS3 are EA sports games, and they charge you to do it even though PSN is free. Because they're dicks.

@Bersercules I feel your pain at not being able to point out grammatical correctness lol.

@Copyboy The same thing happened when someone I know got into WoW.

  13. Haha, the rambling gigolo. Who knows, could be a good source of income!

  14. I also need money, but to get drunk.

    ReplyDelete
  15. @ipenka I think I'd better learn to use my mouth differently if I want to go into male prostitution :P

@My 2 Pesos That would be good too. The main reason I don't drink is that I can't afford it.

@Interwebs Fails They do, but this is more for a want, so I can live without it.

  16. I'd really like to know why you aren't claiming too - but then I'm a nosy fucker. I just think if you're entitled you should get it.

Apart from anything else of you're not then you're not getting and NI paid on your behalf and that can affect other things, like a state pension, later on.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Dirtycowgirl I plan on being a billionaire playboy, so a pension isn't that big a deal. Well, I'm half kidding there, I consider a pension a big deal, but the way this country is going I probably wouldn't have much of a state pension anyway. I'm very conservative with money, even if I did have a job or was on benefits I probably wouldn't be spending it.

  18. Can you sell plasma or anything there? I used to do that for a while. It's not big money, but it is money.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @AllenTesch I don't know if you can sell it, but I'm not too fond of needles, or the concept of selling my blood.

  20. I wish there was another way for me to get extra cash. That would be great, especially these days

  21. @Gizmo It would be pretty sweet, that's for sure.

  22. Xbox sucks! Myself and everyone I know all have owned at least 2 each. Every one of them went to shit in a hurry!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I see someone mentioned my longtime profession: PLASMA! Once you get over the needle thing, it's easy. I was uncomfortable as shit with needles, but now it's like second nature. Twice a week for 60 bucks a week. In fact, I still do it now that I'm employed because it's extra money. Fear is all in your mind! Yesterday, when I was getting saline pumped in at the end, some started seeping out. Didn't even bat an eye. A few months ago I would have freaked the fuck out.

  24. @Danjor21 I don't know how but mine has survived for many years.

@Generally Disgruntled Like I said I don't think you can sell your plasma in this country, it is one of the ways we fail.

  25. The "a vs an" is based on the sound of the word, not its spelling. Like "an hour". Unfortunately, some people try too hard to "be correct" and become ironically wrong by saying "an historic something" which would only be excusable if they had a Cockney accent.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Henry Yay for cockneys! When I'm speaking I just go for what the sound is typically without thinking about it, but I just found myself pointing it out while spelling. Eh.

  27. Money, money, money.. I don't earn from my blog (I will, though.. someday. hehe). I get cash from this small family-owned business that i take care of. It's not much, but it pays the bills... so..

Anyway, I checked out the blog you suggested the other day, and yeah, it didn't have a Followers button. Or maybe there is.. I just haven't seen it. Oh well..

I haven't played on XBox.. My two brothers are more Sony Playstation fanatics. :p

  28. I discontinued my xbox live service last month. Now, I will probably have to get it again for Call of Duty 3

  29. Not having money sucks :( Saving the money is torture.

    ReplyDelete
  30. get on there. you could use em

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Leah thanks for checking it out, he doesn't have a follow button nah, I don't think anyone with a dynamic view does. I like the Playstation but now the xbox is in my room because I bought it and the playstation is in my brothers room because he bought it. I hope to be able to make a small living off of this place eventually.

@Generally Disgruntled Is that really so wise? Good luck with all the whiny 13 year olds who somehow remain the same age despite the time it takes to release each CoD game.

@Minecraft129 I don't mind saving money. Even when I barely get any I save it really. I'm not a big spender.

@Major.Mack If you mean welfare, I probably could do with them, but there are things that stop me.

    ReplyDelete
  32. LOL. XD
Yeah, Blogger doesn't get you much money. Unless everyone is clicking on the ad.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Jodie-Ann Well there are two ways to go about it, having so many followers that there's a good portion who are, or having a centric topic so you have consistent adverts. Neither seem very likely for me lol.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You should just wait to get a PlayStation Vita, they are doing an HD Remake of FFX for it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Shaw I'm not likely to get a PSVita lol, plus I'd not want to start my game again, I think I was getting near the end, and I already restarted once.
