Good Cop, Good Cop

Hey guys, I'm not sure how long this post is going to be, but it isn't going to be a round up like you might have expected. Once again I am in the library posting, and don't have internet at home. I have a few posts scheduled so you'll get some over the next few days, but I'm not sure about after then. I'm not sure when I'll get my internet back. The simple reason is, well, it's very simple. The police have my internet hub and the replacement one doesn't work. If you're wondering why the police have my hub, it has been taken as evidence because someone robbed me yesterday. They got out with my internet hub, and my brother's bike. The goods turned up again, but they are still needed for evidence. At least now I don't have to worry about answering the house phone. Even when we get the hub back, they literally tore it right out of the wall, so the wires are messed up, and I don't know how easy or difficult they are to fix. They might not need any fixing though.

I'll see if I can go into more detail about what happened yesterday after I get my net back, but for now, if you don't hear anything from me for a few days, I still don't have my net back. Hopefully it should be back by the time the schedules are done, and not even having my internet stolen will break my perfect record.

  1. You should have told the police to fuck off.. that you need to be able to connect to internet for your work or something.

  2. If they tore it out of the wall, they should put it back or pay to have it put back properly. Just because you got robbed doesn't mean you should have to pay an installer to put it back in because they were too lazy to take it out properly.

  3. I wonder how the "court" system works over there. As ABFTS mentioned, I think you can sue them in civil court for the monetary damages.

  4. Those cables should be fixable, as long as you can recognise which one is which. Just wind them up (kind by kind) and separate the different wire species with electrical tape. Everything SHOULD work fine with that, assuming you connected all the tiny individual cables individually.
If not, look on the internet for help- OH WAIT NEVERMIND

  5. Happy Halloween!

  6. Where I live, they are the bad guys. I prefer to run into a thieve than into a federal pig. D:

  7. Uh, how did they find the goods?

  8. Well, now you have a story to tell your grandkids. It probably doesn't sound that exciting now, but I think they'll be interested in the whole "Internet" concept. Because who knows what we'll have two generations from now.

  9. That sucks..... sorry to hear that..... but remember when reconnecting the wires.... Dont cut the Red One!!!!

  10. sorry to hear... i hate it when people steal my internet

  11. Bastards. Glad you got it back though.

  12. Wow, was gone for a while. This sucks man hope everything gets sorted out

  13. No internet really sucks. Once it's fixed it feels like you're back in the loop.

  14. Loosing internet access sucks, especially for us bloggers

  15. Wow...
    No Internet really sucks. -.-'

  16. @Bob Pretty sure the cops need it for their work more than I need it for mine.

@ABFTS My dad says that it should all fit back together nicely and easily so we shouldn't have to get anything reinstalled. I hope that's the case.

@Ipenka I'm just happy to get my stuff back, and that I wasn't hurt. Those hubs are quite expensive, so it's good to get it back. When I get it back mind.

@Fang Thanks for the advice, but this counts as on the internet and I won't be able to read it when I get my stuff back

    @My 2 Pesos Cheers but I didn't have a very happy halloween.

@Interwebs Fails My mum says that my brothers who are on the shady side of things would have found our stuff instead of the cops but the cops found it in the end.

@Henry You meant the coppers? They found the guys who did it and presumably they spilled the beans on where the stuff was. I think they were found without the goods on them.

@Lots Wife Gotta have kids first lol. I'll have to man it up for the grankids, it'll involve me fighting to the death with 10 huge guys.

@Steve Bailey Your avatar is a good example of what happens when someone cuts the red wire :)

@j. Littlejohn I'm beginning to wonder how I ever did without it really lol.

@Dirtycowgirl Well the fuzz still have it for now, but yeah, should have it back soon enough.

@The angry Lurker You cheered me up by calling them wankers lol. They were wankers though.

@Generally Disgruntled Are you saying "boo" or "boo-ur" wait. It's nice to know people are saying boo urns lol.

@Gryt me too. I'm going to be gone for a while myself now -_-

@Reily Those hubs are surprisingly expensive, and people will steal anything they can get their hands on.

@R.gers I'll be dancing around the loop when I get it back lol.

@Shaw + jodie-ann It does. It really, really, does -_-

  17. Aww that's awful! Hope everything works out for you though

  18. My my what commitment:) You inspire me..

  19. @Hazel I hope so too, but seeing as I was in the newspaper and on the news without selling my story I don't think it's going to go that great lol. I'm just happy my ma let's me come home and I can use her internet.

@PeeVee Thanks ^^ But I'm just doing what I would have done anyway.

Don't forget to subscribe to comments so you know if I say something back. If you want that is.
